Maritza Planas Vega Staff Accountant
Maritza joined our firm in December 2007. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico in 1993.
Maritza began her accounting career in 1993 as an internal accountant for an Industrial chemicals distributor in Puerto Rico. In 2003, Maritza accepted a position as a senior accountant with a public accounting firm in Puerto Rico. In 2007, she moved to Florida and began working as an accountant with a public accounting firm in Pembroke Pines. Maritza is currently employed as a staff accountant with our firm.
Maritza’s role is essential to the efficiencies we maintain at Elerick & Elerick. She provides support to the other preparers in the office, and has first-level responsibility for many of the tax compliance services we offer to our clients on a monthly basis, including state sales tax preparation, and real-time payroll services.
In addition to her accounting skills, Maritza is fluent in English and Spanish. (Back)
